Adaptation of the marine species
Knowing how marine species from the Antarctic and Subantarctic regions adapt to the effects of global change, is the main objective of this research line.
By combining genetic tools with ecophysiological approaches, in situ and in laboratory, we study key species’ capacity to tolerate different environmental stressors, variations in physiological plasticity across their geographic distribution, as well as the connection between marine species of the Antarctic and Subantarctic zones.
